Red Lion, Old Marston

This year's Armistice Day will be commemorated at The Red Lion Old Marston, marking one hundred years to the day since hostilities ceased and the guns finally fell silent.

Armistice Day is commemorated every year on 11 November to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918.

Here at the Red Lion we will reflect, remember and celebrate in honour of the people effected by the great war. With patriotic décor, guess the name game, poppy cakes and more.

All welcome to join us on 10/11/18
